IN BLACK AND WHITE Alexandra Wilson
Blurb: "In Black and White is an absolute triumph; a compelling and courageous memoir forcing the legal profession to confront uncomfortable truths about race and class in our justice system."
I'm fortunate to have had little contact with the Criminal Justice system, but I was keen to learn more. This book was a perfect primer in the system through the eyes of this young barrister, engaging closely with the inherent racism and classism within the system, as well as the hope and passion driving these hardworking public servants.

MONEY: A USER'S GUIDE Laura Whatley
Blurb: "Money: A User’s Guide cuts through all the panic of personal finances. It will teach you how to get a great credit score, how to save hundreds on bills, and offer practical advice on every difficult conversation you’ve been avoiding"
Mortgages, taxes, pensions, investments. Surely I can't be the only one who's yelled out about why weren't we taught about any of this in school. Well, this book was such a great place to start, taking a non-judgmental, non-patronising and approachable tone. I particularly loved the chapter exploring the connection between money and mental health,

THE PRIME MINISTERS
Edited by Iain Dale
Blurb: 55 profiles by 55 different writers, politicians, journalists and academics of every prime minister there's ever been, from Robert Walpole to Boris Johnson, compiled by Iain Dale.
Politics can seem very...well... overwhelming...but it's interesting to hear about the historical significance and legacies of each of our prime ministers. I appreciate that this book was a collection of essays from people across the political spectrum, offering a broad range of perspectives on each of British history,

SH**GED, MARRIED, ANNOYED Chris & Rosie Ramsey
Blurb: Whether you're sh**ged, married, annoyed, or, all of the above, Chris and Rosie Ramsey, hosts of the number one podcast, write hilariously and with honesty about the ups and downs and ins and outs of love, sex and relationships.
If you're a fan of this Chris Ramsey's stand up, Rosie Ramsey's instagram, or the podcast, you'll know it will make you howl with laughter, then move into that weird silent laugh. It's so so funny and highly recommended as a easy-to-read pick me up for when you're feeling down, married or not. Also highly recommend the audiobook version which is basically a full extended podcast.

AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 TRAINS
Monisha Rajesh
Blurb: "From the cloud-skimming heights of Tibet's Qinghai railway to silk-sheeted splendour on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, Around the World in 80 Trains is a celebration of the glory of train travel and a witty and irreverent look at the world."
This book was a beautifully vicarious look at train travel, starting in London and following Rajesh's travels through the world. The tangible, honest and relatable writing made me ache to travel once the world opens up again.
